The Trips Brown Pelican 38w

Currently, we provide ten proposed birding day-trips for birders renting our house. Quite simply, this means that we have assembled a number of day-long itineraries with full driving and access instructions for you to get from our home to the birding locations. (And then from one location to the next).

These itineraries are based partly on published sources, but mostly on our experience of actually birding these sites ourselves.

You will therefore be able to fill up to ten days’ vacation with nothing but birding (if that is your wish), with detailed directions, Yellow-Crowned Night Heron 30driving distances, local hints and information as to what you can expect to see - the kind of information that commercial trips charge hundreds of dollars (or pounds) for, all for no extra charge.

In addition to the day-guides, we also provide general information and also recommend additional resources like Bill Pranty’s famous Florida Guide.

The Trips -

1. Polk County local

2. Atlantic Coast NorthSemi-Palmated Plover 13

3. Osceola County lakes

4. Kissimmee area

5. Tampa Bay - Fort de Soto and environs

6. Gulf Coast

7. Central south - Kissimmee Prairie and Highland Hammock
